I realized that while I was in New York, it had marked one month since I picked up a professional camera for the first time ever.

I spent some time at the waterfall that evening to capture my first images. I had absolutely no clue about lighting, not a single clue about settings, no idea how to focus, nothing. I picked it up and just started pressing buttons honestly. Hoping I was doing at least one thing right. I left that evening with 4 usable images.

I was feeling a little discouraged but still hopeful.

I kept reminding myself that this is my own journey. Not to compare myself to the other assistants.

Within the last month, I’ve done countless amounts of hours of research and practice.

Within this last month I’ve been through many different sessions. I have gotten my own camera. I’ve been on my first business trip and scheduled a second. I have partaken in my first photography instructional class by the famous Michael Sasser. I have began my self love journey and overcome many fears and obstacles.

I cannot wait to see what the next month/ 6months/ year bring and all of the things I accomplish!
